Discord Vanity URL Checker
Enter a vanity name and instantly see whether discord.gg/name is free to claim or already taken — before you spend boosts.
Enter just the name (the part after discord.gg/) or paste a full discord.gg/<name> link.
How Discord vanity URLs work
A vanity URL turns a random invite like discord.gg/aB3xK9q into a clean, branded link like discord.gg/yourbrand. Unlike normal invites, a vanity is permanent — it never expires and stays tied to your server.
Custom vanity URLs are a Boost Level 3 perk. Your server needs 14 Server Boosts to reach Level 3. Once you qualify, head to Server Settings → Vanity URLand set your custom name. Vanities are first-come, first-served across all of Discord, so a name that’s available today can be claimed by another server tomorrow.
This checker asks Discord whether a given vanity code resolves to a live server. If it resolves, the name is taken and you’ll see which server holds it. If it doesn’t resolve, the name is currently free — claim it once your server hits Level 3.
FAQ
How do I check if a Discord vanity URL is taken?
Type the vanity name into the box above (just the part after discord.gg/) and hit Check. This tool asks Discord whether that invite code resolves to a server. If it resolves, the vanity is taken and you'll see the server it points to. If it doesn't resolve, the vanity is available to claim.
What do I need to claim a vanity URL?
A custom vanity URL is a Boost Level 3 perk. Your server needs 14 Server Boosts to reach Level 3. Once you're there, go to Server Settings → Vanity URL and set your custom discord.gg/name. Vanities are first-come, first-served, so check availability before you boost.
What is a Discord vanity URL?
A vanity URL is a custom, memorable invite link like discord.gg/yourbrand instead of a random code like discord.gg/aB3xK9q. It's tied to your server and never expires, which makes it ideal for sharing on social profiles, websites, and marketing.
Why does an available vanity not guarantee I can claim it?
Availability only means no server currently uses that code. You still need Boost Level 3 to set a vanity at all, and Discord reserves the right to reclaim vanities tied to trademarks or inactive servers. Reaching Level 3 first is the requirement that actually unlocks the feature.
Does checking a vanity reserve it for me?
No. This tool only reads whether the code is in use right now — it does not reserve or hold anything. Vanities are claimed the moment a Level 3 server sets one in Server Settings, so claim yours as soon as you qualify.
