Frequently asked questions
How many fields can a single application have?
Discord limits modals to 5 input fields per modal. For longer applications, chain two modals (initial → callback → second modal) — VibeBot supports this pattern. Most servers fit a quality application in 4 fields.
Can I require a minimum account age?
Yes. Set "minimum account age: 30 days" or "minimum server tenure: 7 days" in the form config. Members below the threshold see a clean rejection message before the modal opens.
What if multiple staff click approve?
First click wins; subsequent clicks see a "this application was already handled by @staff X minutes ago" toast. No double-approvals, no race conditions.
Can applicants edit their answers?
Not after submission — but they can re-apply (subject to cooldown) and submit a new version. Some servers prefer this; others lock applicants out for 30 days after a denial to prevent spam.
Where does the data live?
In your dedicated VibeBot database. You can export to CSV anytime, integrate with Google Sheets via webhook, or pull via the API. Data is yours, not locked in a third-party service.
