VibeBot Feature

Discord Logging Bot

Record what happens in your server — deleted and edited messages, joins and leaves, role, nickname, and channel changes — to your own log channels, built by describing it in plain English. No code.

When a message vanishes or a member ghosts after a rule break, you need a record — not a guess. Most logging bots are a separate dedicated app you bolt on with its own dashboard and branding. VibeBot builds event logging into your own bot: tell it what to watch and it writes clean, timestamped embeds to the channels you choose, one feature among 37+ builders under your name.

Everything you need

Powerful discord logging bot features that work out of the box — no coding required.

Message Edits & Deletes

Log when messages are deleted or edited — author, channel, and the actual content. Deletes show what was removed (up to 1000 chars); edits show before and after side by side. Bulk-delete purges log a count plus the first messages cleared. Bot messages are skipped so your log stays signal, not noise.

Member Joins & Leaves

Catch every arrival and departure: joins log the new member with their avatar, account age, and your running member count; leaves log their avatar, when they joined, and the roles they held on the way out. Great for spotting raids and tracking growth at a glance.

Role, Nickname & Channel Changes

Track structural edits to your server — roles created or deleted (with color and member count), channels created or deleted (with type and parent category), plus per-member nickname changes and roles added or removed. Each change posts as its own clean embed so nothing gets buried.

Ban & Unban Records

Keep a permanent trail of bans and unbans: the user, their ID and avatar, and the ban reason if one was given. Pairs with member-left logging so you always know who is gone and why — without digging through Discord's built-in audit log by hand.

Split Channels or One Log

Send everything to a single #server-log channel, or flip on split logging to route each category — messages, members, server, moderation — to its own dedicated channel. Pick exactly which of the 12 events you want with per-event and per-category on and off toggles.

Clean, Timestamped Embeds

Every entry is a tidy, color-coded embed with an optional timestamp, so your log reads at a glance instead of as a wall of text. Long content is truncated cleanly and bot-authored noise is filtered out, so you see what your members actually did.

Why VibeBot for Logging Bot?

Instead of bolting on a separate dedicated logging bot like a standalone Logger or Dyno, VibeBot builds server-event logging straight into your own bot, under your branding — you describe what to watch and it writes the handlers for you, no code and no API key. It covers 12 real Discord events across four categories: message deletes and edits and bulk purges; member joins, leaves, and per-member nickname and role changes; channel and role creates and deletes; and bans and unbans. Send it all to one channel or split each category into its own. Two honest limits worth knowing: VibeBot reads what your members do but does not look up who performed an action, so it does not show which moderator did a delete or a ban — for moderator-attributed action logs (who banned whom, who warned whom), use VibeBot's Moderation feature, which builds a proper mod-action audit trail. And deleted-message content is only captured for messages the bot had already seen, the same cache limit every Discord logger has. Build it free, try it on your server, and keep the events that matter to you.

How it works

Get your discord logging bot running in three simple steps.

1

Tell VibeBot what to log

Describe it in plain English: "log deleted and edited messages, joins, leaves, and bans to #server-log." Or open the visual Event Logging builder and tick the events you want with per-category enable-all toggles. Either way, no code.

2

Pick your channels

Point everything at one log channel, or turn on split logging to give messages, members, server, and moderation their own channels. Toggle the timestamp on each embed and choose exactly which of the 12 events fire — leave the rest off.

3

Deploy and it starts watching

On deploy your bot subscribes to the live Discord events and posts each one to the right channel as it happens. Make sure the bot can read the log channel and has the member and message intents it needs, and the trail fills itself.

Built for every community

Catch Deleted Evidence

When someone posts something against the rules and deletes it fast, message-delete logging captures the author, channel, and content before it's gone — so you can act on what actually happened instead of taking sides on hearsay.

Spot Raids & Track Growth

Join and leave logging with avatars, account age, and a live member count makes a wave of fresh throwaway accounts obvious at a glance — and doubles as a simple record of how your community is growing day to day.

Audit Server Changes

Keep a running record of who got which roles, nickname swaps, and channels or roles being created and deleted. When something in your server looks different, the log tells you exactly what changed and when.

Frequently asked questions

What can the logging bot actually record?

Twelve Discord events: message deletes, edits, and bulk deletes; member joins, leaves, and updates (nickname and role changes); channel creates and deletes; role creates and deletes; and bans and unbans. Pick any subset — each can be turned on or off individually or by category.

Can it show who deleted a message or who banned someone?

No — server-event logging records what changed, not which moderator did it. It does not perform audit-log lookups, so a delete or ban entry shows the affected message or user, not the responsible staff member. For moderator-attributed action logs (who banned, kicked, or warned whom), use our moderation bot, which builds a proper mod-action audit trail.

Does it log every deleted message, even old ones?

It logs deleted-message content for messages the bot had already received and cached. Messages sent before the bot came online, or evicted from Discord's cache, may log the deletion event but not the original content — this is a standard Discord limitation that affects every logging bot, not a VibeBot quirk.

Can I send different events to different channels?

Yes. By default every enabled event goes to one log channel. Turn on split logging and each category — messages, members, server, moderation — routes to its own dedicated channel, falling back to your main log channel for any category you leave unset.

Does it log voice activity, reactions, or invites?

Not currently. The logging builder covers the 12 events above — message, member, role, nickname, channel, and ban events. It does not log voice state, reactions, invites, threads, timeouts, or kicks as a distinct event (a kick surfaces as a member-left entry). If you need those, let VibeBot know and it can often build a custom handler.

Do I need to code anything to set this up?

No. Describe what you want logged in plain English — "log edits, deletes, joins, and bans to #server-log" — and VibeBot generates the event handlers, or use the visual Event Logging builder. No code, no API key, no separate logging bot to manage.
